Community rules

Updated Thursday, September 17, 2026

The following rules apply to the online spaces pertaining to the PowsUp! community.

Behaviors not allowed

In order to guarantee a pleasant stay for all members, it is not allowed to:

  1. Insult, blaspheme, offend, discriminate or threaten, in any form.

  2. Bother, meaning:

    1. insistent and repeated requests to members who have already shown disinterest in the topic;

    2. continuous sending of insistent and repeated messages (a.k.a. spam);

    3. accentuated/excessive personal complaints (a.k.a. venting).

  3. Send provocative, risqué or RP messages.

  4. Promote and/or instigate illegal activities (e.g. piracy).

  5. Discuss provocative or political topics (e.g. fake news).

  6. Discuss and/or request information regarding the warn/ban status of a member.

  7. Promote content of any kind and purpose without authorization.

  8. Communicating in languages other than Italian or English. Isolated words, quotes, or idiomatic expressions in other languages are permitted, provided the message remains understandable to the community.

Content not allowed

In order to guarantee content that is not invasive and/or annoying for the community, it is not allowed to:

  1. Share multimedia materials containing:

    1. pornography of any kind, in the form of images, videos, stickers and GIFs regardless of the context, even if censored;

    2. gore and paraphilias.

  2. Forward posts and messages containing:

    1. multimedia or textual materials that are SFW but coming from channels containing NSFW materials. It is allowed to forward the content by hiding the sender of the message (by disabling “show sender name”).

  3. Disclose sensitive and/or private information of people without authorization (e.g. screenshots of private conversations, addresses or phone numbers, etc.).

FAQ

Can I use an SFW sticker if the pack contains NSFW materials?

Yes.

Can I send cropped NSFW content, in such a way that intimate parts are not exposed?

Cropped NSFW content is allowed only if the result of the crop does not make evident a context that violates the rules on content not allowed.

Why can't I ask in public spaces for reasons and explanations of actions carried out by the moderation?

We believe that this information is strictly personal and, as per the rules, not open to dispute. The users affected by these actions, at the moment the moderation acts, are promptly notified in private, with all the necessary explanations and reasons.

Can I send a message announcing the opening of my commissions?

In order to keep the community a place of conversation, we do not allow unauthorized promotion. Also in order to guarantee greater safety for users, we require the verification of every promotional message that passes through our public channels.

I have a doubt about the publication of a post, I want to ask the moderation team a question or make a report; can I contact a moderator directly in a private chat?

The moderation team encourages the use of the new support bot @modpowsupbot, which allows you to be contacted back in much shorter times by the first available staffer. In the most urgent cases, for example in cases where the personal data of a community member has been compromised, and in cases of a raid by an external hostile group, it is possible to send a report directly in the group itself by sending the @admin tag in the chat. Reporting the improper behavior of a user, or the entry of a bot into the group, does not fall within the use cases of @admin, and @modpowsupbot should be used instead.

I would like to organize a meet/event, or I want to gather enthusiasts of X in another group. How can I promote it in the community group?

PowsUp! welcomes and encourages this type of proposal and, in order to protect the members of the community, it is required that the post to be published is first sent to the moderation team to be reviewed. The suggested format for the promotion of this type of initiative includes useful information such as a description, the place and the date (in case it is an event with a limited duration). The inclusion of links to organizational Telegram groups external to PowsUp! is allowed, provided that they also follow the community rules regarding content not allowed. The approval status of a post has single validity and, unless explicitly granted, it is not allowed to repeatedly send the promotional message.

I received a warn: how many can I collect and how long do they last?

You can accumulate up to a maximum of 3 active warnings; each one expires 6 months after being issued. Exceeding the 3-warning limit results in an automatic ban from the community. The moderation team reserves the right to issue an immediate ban in cases of severe misconduct or repeat offenses.

What should I do if I witness or experience misconduct (especially in voice channels)?

The moderation team is here for the community, but voice chats are spontaneous by nature, and it is impossible to be present in every channel at all times, which is precisely why user reports are so important. If unpleasant situations, harassment, or rule violations occur, please report them to us as soon as possible so we can keep every space safe and enjoyable. For the fastest response, the best method is to message the moderation Telegram bot @modpowsupbot.

What is the atmosphere like on the Discord server? What kind of language is allowed?

PowsUp! aims to be a relaxed and fun environment. We don’t run the server with a rigid or punitive approach; we understand banter, irony, and informal language. However, there is an important difference between joking and insulting, always evaluating the context and intentions, but without tolerating situations that may cause discomfort to others.

Violating one of the rules may lead to measures that can affect your status in the PowsUp! community both online and at private events.

❗ These rules also apply outside the spaces managed by PowsUp!, in case the violations involve multiple members of the community and if reported repeatedly.

The moderation in charge of monitoring activity within the community reserves the right to delete parts of conversations or to apply restrictions that can be temporary or permanent, depending on the violations found, and to act freely, interpreting the rules according to the values of PowsUp! in cases of particular situations or urgent interventions. The measures adopted by the moderation are not open to dispute.

Please refer to the PowsUp! Code of Conduct & Terms of Service for the rules of private events and gatherings.
